Tony Yasities Ladder Stunt

Royal Signals White Helmets

Tony Yasities on a Triumph Tiger 750, as part of the Royal Signals Motor cycle display team. This stunt is called the solo ladder, it is one of many impressive stunts that Tony performed that was captured on video. It is from a show called the Royal Tournament in 1984, which was watched by a live audience of over 40,000 people. Not to mention members of the royal family including Princess Diana, who on meeting with Tony asked him “why are the peaks on your helmets so long?” Tony nervously replied “it’s to keep the lights out of our eyes ma’am”.

I can recall watching the royal signals as a school boy at the St Helens show with my younger brother Gary, and being amazed and wanting to perform cool stunts and tricks like the Signals.

Tony Currently owns a Honda Gold wing and enjoys cruising around the Lake District, but has opted to leave his ladder at home.

Above is a photograph of Tony at around 24 years of age, as he is making some adjustments to the clutch.
